How it works

From files to a live URL in seconds

Upload static assets and get an instant link without setting up hosting or signing in.

Drop your files

Drag a folder, .zip archive, image, or .html file into the dropzone above.

Get a live link

Files upload in seconds and you get an instant HTTPS link ready to share with anyone.

Expires automatically

A live countdown runs from the moment your site goes live. When it hits zero, files are permanently deleted.

Why temporary

Built for things that don't need to last

Not every prototype or mockup needs permanent infrastructure. Share quick previews without cluttering accounts or managing servers.

for demos

Client previews without pipelines

Share work-in-progress demos with clients or teammates without configuring CI/CD pipelines or creating temporary subdomains.

for prototypes

Fast prototype sharing

Whether testing a generated layout or a hand-crafted design, get a shareable URL immediately without configuring hosting providers.

for privacy

Private by default

No email required, no signup flow, and no user tracking. The generated link is the only record that the site exists.

zero cleanup

Automatic cleanup

Files are automatically deleted when the timer ends, so you never have to clean up old test sites, unused storage, or forgotten staging links.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does a site live?
You choose 1 hour or 24 hours when uploading. Once the time is up, your files are permanently deleted from storage with no backups kept.
Do I need an account?
No. Just drop your files, get your link, and share it. No signups, logins, or dashboards required.
What can I host?
Any static files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, and PDFs (up to 8 MB compressed in a zip, and up to 500 files). Server-side code like PHP or Node.js is not supported.
What counts as a folder drop?
Any folder with an index.html file works out of the box. You can also upload a .zip archive, a single .html file, or an image. Subdirectories and relative paths are preserved.
Why madethis.website and not GitHub Pages?
GitHub Pages and Cloudflare Pages are designed for permanent sites. madethis.website is for when you need a quick, temporary URL right away (like sharing a client preview or prototype) without creating a repository, configuring DNS, or managing hosting accounts.
Is there a catch?
The only catch is that hosting is strictly temporary. When the timer runs out, your files are permanently deleted and the link stops working.
